Kevin has continued a 20-year career in commercial real estate at KLNB since 1996. Kevin specializes in the sale of improved income producing properties and in the assemblage of sites for developers and retail users. He has a wealth of experience in all aspects of the retail real estate development process, including the monitoring of site selection, land use analysis, zoning/ public hearing activities, purchase negotiations and site development coordination. Kevin’s prior experience includes being President of Greencastle Development Co., a Principal at Mulrenin-Barrett Associates and later a Vice President at CB Richard Ellis. In his capacity with these companies, Kevin acted as a consultant and broker for developers and users in acquiring land for retail development as well as the sale of improved retail properties.

KLNB, LLC - Associate, Vienna, VA (1997-Present)
Joined KLNB as a leasing and sales specialist, primarily responsible for the value generation through leasing up to a sale of a portfolio of 12 shopping centers. Represented institutional owners such as Peterson Companies, Invesco Real Estate Advisers, Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada, Mass Mutual Life Insurance Company and Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers in the sale of approximately $75 million in land and investment property transactions and over 1 million square feet of lease transactions. Managed the redevelopment of three circa 1970 and 1980 grocery anchored shopping centers. Represented the developer in three separate retail "power center" developments anchored by tenants such as Home Depot, Circuit City, Safeway, BJ's Wholesale Club, K-Mart, Kohl's and Toy R Us.

GRUBB & ELLIS - Associate, Vienna, VA (1996-1997)
Associate Broker representing both property owners and retailers in the acquisition and development of commercial real estate. Representative for various retailers such as Sizzler Restaurants, Pizza Hut, Burger King, KinderCare Learning Centers, Koo Koo Roo Restaurants, Burrito Brother Restaurants and Bally Total Fitness for the disposition or acquisition of commercial real estate in the Washington/Baltimore Metropolitan area. Assisted with the purchase of over $5 million of undeveloped land on behalf of KinderCare Learning Centers. Represented landlord's such as The Weisberg Corp., Quadrangle Development Corp., Sieman's Real Estate Holdings, Schroder Real Estate Trust, and The Archon Group as leasing agent in which over 200,000 square feet was successfully leased

KINDERCARE LEARNING CENTERS INC. - Real Estate Manager, Alexandria, VA (1994-1996)
Responsible for locating development sites in Virginia, Maryland and New Jersey for the development of community day care centers. Prepared and presented investment/market analysis packages for real estate departmental approval. Assembled and managed a brokerage team for land site acquisitions. Handled all contract and lease negotiations with sellers and property owners. Worked with local zoning attorneys, engineers, and municipal planning officials for site plan approvals. Successfully completed 12 lease transactions totaling 100,000 square feet and 8 purchase contracts with an aggregate value of $3.5 million.

Career Highlights

Jack joined KLNB's Tyson’s Corner office in 2006 as a retail leasing specialist. He exclusively represents retailers such as FedEx Kinko's and Port City Java Coffee House. Jack will also be concentrating on Landlord representation on existing and new retail center development projects. He came to the company after spending a year with Florida Rock Properties, a major commercial real estate development company based out of Baltimore Maryland and Jacksonville Florida. There, Jack concentrated on new office and warehouse development around the Baltimore Washington metropolitan area.

Company Experience

Dimitri joined the retail group of KLNB, LLC in April of 2002. He will be concentrating on Landlord representation and new retail center development projects. He came to the company after spending several years with The Rouse Company, a Columbia based Real Estate Investment Trust, where he was responsible for leasing and managing a portfolio consisting of approximately 1.3 million square feet of space. Dimitri is currently working on the development of two retail centers, Lee Plaza Center in Fairfax County and Stone Ridge Shopping Center in Loudoun County, Virginia.

Sam Hodges has been with KLNB, LLC since 1991. He has been involved in the development and planning of numerous shopping centers in Northern Virginia and Southern Maryland. He has been the number one, yearly producer at KLNB on numerous occasions. He presently serves as head of KLNB's retail division in Virginia and serves on KLNB's Operating Committee.
