Ernest R. Hueter has been engaged in commercial real estate for the past 25 years. He has specialized in retail leasing and sales. Representing Landlords, he has developed marketing strategies to attain the most desired tenant mix at the highest achievable rents. On behalf of tenants, he has performed market analysis in creating expansion programs designed to maximize sales. Both disciplines required lease negotiations to be successful to insure success for his clients.
Mr. Hueter represents Border’s Books, AMC Theaters, Great American Restaurants, Sephora, Blue Ridge Mountain Sports, Wagamama Restaurants, Johnston & Murphy, Fidelity Investments and Faang Thai Restaurant. Previous clients include Freshfields, General Cinema, Big & Tall Men Shops, Thomas Moser, First Union Bank, George Mason Bank and United Bank.

Professional Experience

1998 to Present: Mr. Hueter joined KLNB, LLC in 1998 as a salesman/associate broker. He became a Principal in January of 2007.

1983-1998: Vice President of retail at CB Richard Ellis. Starting as a salesman, became a Vice President in 1993/ Focused on retail leasing and sales.

1976-1983: Gilbert Robinson Restaurant Company. Assistant manager Houlihan’s Restaurant, Kansas City. General manager Fred P. Ott’s, general manager of Houlihan’s, Kansas City. As general manager opened Houlihan’s Chevy Chase, Maryland in 1980 followed by the opening of Houlihan’s Georgetown Park in 1981.

Managed, trained and promoted at least four assistant managers in each restaurant along with hiring and training of an average of 110 employees.

Responsible for controlling food, liquor and labor costs in conjunction with increasing sales and maximizing profits.
