KLNB, LLC Attracts Ten Real Estate Professionals From Madison Retail Group In Anticipation Of
Opening New Loudoun County, VA Office
Four become new pricipals of commercial real estate services compnay
Baltimore, MD (November 3, 2006) – KLNB, LLC, a full-service commercial real estate services
company with four offices in the Baltimore-Washington, D.C.-Northern Virginia marketplace, has
announced that ten real estate professionals have joined the company from Madison Retail Group.
All of the new employees, whose company was affiliated with Madison Marquette, will work within
the company’s
KLNB Retail division, and four will immediately become principals of the firm.
The new principals are Cary Judd, Dallon Cheney, Matt Locraft and Melissa Welch, and the group
also includes real estate brokers Craig Cheney, Ben Becker, Darcy Niles and Julie Cyphers. The
remaining individuals are support staff and administrative personnel.
These principals head a team of professionals that represent retailers including Harris Teeter,
Home Depot, McDonald’s, Havertys Furniture, California Tortilla, Thomasville Home Furnishings,
The UPS Store, Domino’s Pizza, The Little Gym, Dunkin Donuts and Cingular. As development
and leasing consultants, they represent more than five million square feet of retail space and
clients include Atlantic Realty Company, Buchanan Partners, Edens & Advant, The Brambleton
Group, Comstock Retail Partners, Camden, DSF Advisors and Greenbaum and Rose Associates among others.
“As a result of changing business models within our former organization, the Northern Virginia
team’s move to KLNB represents our best opportunity to pursue the type of retail transactions
that play to our strengths,” stated Dallon Cheney. “This parting was on extremely amicable
terms and we plan on maintaining a strong business relationship with the executives of Madison
Marquette in the future,” he added.
By mid-year 2007, KLNB anticipates opening a new regional office in Loudoun County, VA that will
house this new group, as well as other marketing and support staff. KLNB presently operates full-service
Maryland locations in Towson, Baltimore City, Columbia, as well as Vienna, Virginia. Founded in
1969, KLNB features more than 50 full-time real estate brokerage professionals and provides a full
range of brokerage, financial and investment services, property/facilities management and strategic
advisory services to the commercial office, industrial and retail sectors. The company achieved
more than $1 billion in sales and leasing volume in 2005.
